Grant Rippetoe

Chief Risk Officer

Grant Rippetoe is the Chief Risk Officer of Paloma Partners Management Company.  Mr. Rippetoe joined PPMC in August 2024.  He is a veteran markets and risk professional with extensive experience across both the buy and sell-side.  Previously, he was the Head of Global Trading Risk Management at Segantii Capital Management, a Hong-Kong based multi-strategy hedge fund, where he was an investment committee member and focused on building out and managing a team of US portfolio managers covering equities and credit relative value, events, long/short, and distressed trading.  Prior to Segantii, Mr. Rippetoe was with Credit Suisse for 20 years and held various executive risk and trading roles across New York, London and Hong Kong.  These roles included Chief Trading Risk Officer and Chief Risk Officer for Global Equities, Head of Risk for Asia-Pacific, Head of Equity Trading for Asia-Pacific and Head of Equity Trading for EMEA.  He began his career as a derivatives and convertibles trader at Susquehanna and Bankers Trust and over time expanded his trading and risk experience across relative value, arbitrage, capital markets, and algorithmic strategies.  Mr. Rippetoe received a BS in Finance and Statistics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Sloan School at MIT.
